Danville Police Department participates in National Prescription Drug Takeback Day!

The Danville Police Department is partnering with Boyle County ASAP (Agency for Substance Abuse Policy) for a National Prescription Drug Take Back event.

Annually, police departments across America recognize National Prescription Drug Takeback day as a day to educate the public on the proper disposal of unused or expired prescription drugs. The Police Department offers a safe disposal site any day of the year but National Prescription Drug Take Back day is a great reminder to clean out your medicine cabinet and safely dispose of prescription drugs, keeping them out of our water systems, and out of the hands of children or other vulnerable individuals.

Bring your expired or unused prescription drugs to the Boyle County ASAP tent at the 2025 Earth Day Festival on April 26th at Constitution Square from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or drop by City Hall, the Danville Police Department, to have your prescription drugs safely disposed of.
