Celebrate the 4th of July in Danville, KY!
This Independence Day, Danville is lighting up with community spirit, creativity, and celebration! From local art installations to basketball tournaments, food trucks, and fireworks, there’s something for everyone.
Here’s your guide to all the happenings:
July 3rd - Paint the Park –Add Your Touch to the Celebration! (9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
Get creative and help decorate Millennium Park for the 4th of July! Sign up for Paint the Park, a community art project hosted by Danville-Boyle County Parks & Recreation in partnership with the Art Center of the Bluegrass.

Step 2 - Pick up your Paint Kit at the Art Center of the Bluegrass before July 3rd
Step 3 - Paint your square at Millennium Park on July 3rd!
July 4th 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament (9:00 a.m. start)
Calling all hoopers! Join the action with the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament open to 3rd graders and up.
Register at bit.ly/danvilleboyleparks before noon on July 3rd. Games will be played July 4th at Millennium Park
Family Fun on the 4th (5:00 p.m.)
On July 4th, head to Millennium Park for an afternoon full of fun:

- Games
- Inflatables
- and much more!
Fireworks at dusk (approximately 9:30 p.m.)
Wrap up the day with a spectacular fireworks show after sunset! Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and loved ones to enjoy one of the region’s best displays under the stars.
